Lets start with the questions and Answers:
What is the Android System Recovery?
First thing is that recovery is not a tool or any feature its like bios for Android, which can provide access to entire data of the android smartphone even if you do not have access to smartphone, Basically it acts as mediator between Android and the hardware so that both of them can complement each other and perform up their best. The recovery can allow a user to carry out various functionalities without requiring access to its settings, and it also provides some of the features which even setting can’t. Functionalities might be flashing a custom ROM or may be getting root Access or it may be updating the OS manually, cleaning cache partition,or even performing a hard reset.
Accessing the Android System Recovery tool
There is no, one precised method to access the recovery as it varies from phone to phone as some ph0ne go to recovery mode while pressing Power+Vol Up. And some of devices go to recovery mode while pressing Power+ Vol down button meaning that it varies from device to device. Best way to know your phones recovery mode combination is google it along with your precised device model.
How to navigate and use the functions
Navigation function also varies from device to device and recovery to recovery, I mean to say that some of the recoveries allow users the touch interface where you need touch to perform functions and some of them typically use the volume keys. Most common used combination is Volume Down to navigate and the the Power button to select the option from the menu. But again I am saying this is not the method for all the recoveries.
Default Android system recover
To see your default system recovery you need to switch off your smartphone.Once it is switched off now press (Power+ Vol Up/Down) required combination to get into recovery. Do not fear there will be no loss of data, just a quick re-boot.
Apply update from external storage(Memory Card)
Recoveries also Allow you to apply updates from memory card too. To update your android smartphone from recovery mode you just need to download update.Zip for your android phone. Once you downloaded the update file place it into memory card and boot into recovery. In recovery mode select Apply updates from SD card>then navigate to the destination where you saved your Update.zip.Now use use your Vol Up/ Power button to perform action once completed reboot your phone to System. Remember first boot after any function where you clear cache or dalvik cache or perform a manual update, So be prepared and ready to wait for while.
Once phone complete reboots the update which you implemented would be installed and you will have successfully updated your phone through the external storage.According to most of the users it is one of the easy way to update instead of waiting for Wi-Fi to update their smartphone.
Resetting Android Phone(Hard reset, Normal Reset):
Most of user needs their phone to reset due to some reasons like their storage is full, or may other reasons. Android system comes with two type of reset one is soft reset and other is hard reset.Soft rest can also be performed from the setting which erases all the data on your phone and make feel free to your device. Where as hard reset is some which erases every kind of thing like update which you have installed and also resets cache partition. So it makes your device feel like new one.It is a very great accessory for all the users, if their smartphone is not starting properly, not responding properly.
Wipe cache partition
Cache is a utility for the fast performance of the device and is considered as the fastest storage amongst the flash memory which our smartphone have and solid state hard drives and many others. So due to high use of cache memory while we perform multiple functionalities. It gets filled, basically it the function of OS to maintain the cache memory free for other functions but some it does not happen. Then it becomes our duty to perform cache, and to perform cache you need to go to the recovery and then perform manually.
